How it works
- Listen, then answer. Each answer is marked straight away.
- Get 8 of your last 10 right to move up a grade. 3 wrong in 6 moves you back one.
- A session is 10 questions. Your progress is kept in this browser and, when you are signed in, in your account.
The levels
Grades 1 to 8 follow the graded music exams, from your first notes to Grade 8.
The grade adapts to your answers, or you can pick one.
The first level of each trainer is free. Every grade comes with Brainlag Ear Training, Brainlag Music or Brainlag Ultra.

About
Hearing intervals is the skill behind sight-singing, dictation and the aural tests. Grade 1 asks for the number only; later grades add the quality, falling and harmonic intervals, and intervals wider than an octave.
